This interactive three-hour course is designed for GPs and is informed by our experience.
It considers risks that are known to arise from consultations with patients and explores ways of mitigating those risks, with particular reference to professional obligations.
Delegates will have the opportunity to review a case study to identify risks, consider why they might occur and discuss the possible adverse outcomes. There will also be an opportunity for small group work focusing on approaches to reducing risk in consultations including out of hours and remote consultations. This will cover different scenarios including consultations with patients who lack capacity to make healthcare decisions or where safeguarding concerns arise.
This course is led by MDDUS medical adviser, Dr Annabelle MacGregor.
Upon completion, a certificate detailing three hours of verifiable CPD will be provided by MDDUS to all attendees.
Course Fee:
MDDUS medical member: £85
Primary Care Direct: £110
Non-member: £120
