DENTAL care professionals are being reminded to pay their annual retention fee (ARF) to the General Dental Council by July 31.
Those who fail to pay risk being removed from the register and being left unable to work. The names of those removed are circulated by the regulator to clinical commissioning groups, health boards and indemnity providers to ensure records are kept up-to-date.
DCPs who are removed must stop working until they reapply and are successfully restored to the GDC register, incurring additional costs in the process.
Payments must be received on or before July 31 and cannot be processed after that deadline.
DCPs can either pay online using the eGDC portal, or make a credit/debit card payment by phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by calling 0800 197 4610.
