National minimum wage increases won’t come in until April. The current rates as of 1 April 2017 are:
- £7.50 for workers aged 25 and over
- £7.05 for workers aged 21 to 24
- £5.60 for workers aged 18 to 20
- £4.05 for the young workers (non-apprentices aged under-18 but above compulsory school age)
- £3.50 apprentice rate (those that are either aged under 19 or 19 and over and in their first year of apprenticeship)
