What?
What?
We exist to support and protect healthcare professionals throughout their career.
Why?
Why?
MDDUS was established in 1902 by a group of doctors and dentists concerned by an increasing number of clinical negligence cases being pursued in the courts. We now support over 65,000 members practising in the UK.-
Do I need MDDUS membership if I already have NHS indemnity?
- Yes. NHS indemnity does not provide assistance with medico-legal issues, such as complaints to the GMC, disciplinaries and criminal proceedings relating to clinical practice. Some work also falls outside the scope of NHS indemnity, for example, cremation forms and medical reports undertaken as part of NHS placements.
