CAPSTICKS Solicitors are holding a series of nationwide seminars for GPs and practice managers focusing on mergers and collaborations between GP practices.
The masterclasses will cover three key areas:
- Commercial - discussing the spectrum of models available for collaborating in primary care against the backdrop of demographic, political and clinical pressures to deliver more primary care services at scale and efficiently.
- Premises - most practice mergers also involve premises issues which need to be resolved at the same time as any new partnership is established.
- Workforce – examining staff transfers, redundancies and changing terms.
In addition to specialist lawyers, the masterclasses will also feature expert speakers from BHP Chartered Accountants (for the Leeds session) and MHA McIntyre Hudson (for the Birmingham and London sessions).
Capticks says: "We expect some lively debate with presentations and workshops, and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and to network with your peers."
