MDDUS members can take advantage of three new risk webinars in September.
First up is Information governance incident response on September 19, aimed at GPs and medical practice managers. During this one-hour session MDDUS senior information governance officer Alex Lyons will discuss issues around unlawful disclosure or misuse of confidential data; recording or sharing of inaccurate data; information security breaches; and inappropriate invasion of people’s privacy and/or the common law of confidentiality.
Dentists and dental practice managers can learn about Dealing with face-to-face complaints on September 21. Risk adviser Alan Frame will offer advice on how to handle and resolve verbal complaints, as well as looking at common causes of complaints.
Results handling risks for GPs and PMs takes place on September 30. Senior risk adviser Liz Price will highlight the knowns risks associated with results handling in general practice.
All three webinars run from 11am to 12pm and participants will have the chance to ask questions and provide feedback.
