Andrew was born in Northern Ireland. He grew up in Dublin, he was educated at The Kings Hospital School and graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1986. He has enjoyed a 35 year career in commercial Insurance, in both the Company and Lloyds markets. He held a variety of senior underwriting and leadership roles culminating in being Chief Executive of two Lloyds Managing Agents. During his executive career he sat on the Boards of NRI (Nuclear Risk Insurers), LMG (London Market Group) and LMA (Lloyds Market Association). He has extensive commercial experience gained in regulated environments. Andrew is currently an independent non-executive director on the Board(s) of Travelers Europe. He a member of the Audit, and Risk & Remuneration committees. He chairs the Governance Committee and is Board Consumer Champion. Andrew lives in Winchester with his wife, two daughters and three dogs. He enjoys staying fit, playing tennis and watching rugby. (Appointed to the Board in 2024)
