The key responsibility of the role will be to support the Senior Underwriter and Head of Underwriting through:
- To underwrite individual, group and corporate new business applications and renewals within underwriting guidelines and delegated authority limit
- Support the sales and relationship management team with client meetings and work collaboratively with these departments to meet growth and retention targets.
- Work closely with the actuarial and product department to support product development and pricing proposals.
- Supporting the underwriting review process through collating and analysis of claims information
- Prepare monthly department MI
We are looking to hear from candidates who can evidence following minimum criteria:
- Have previous experience in an underwriting admin/assistant role
- Have previous knowledge of working with corporate groups
- Can start or are willing to work towards relevant CII qualifications
We are especially interested in speaking to candidates who can evidence the following non-essential but advantageous criteria:
- Prior experience of working for an insurance intermediary / brokerage, MGA or insurer (or equivalent indemnity business) in a technical underwriter role.
- Medical Malpractice or other PI experience.
