Rukmanie read Law at the University of Nottingham and graduated in 2009, following which she worked as a claims handler for an insurance company, gaining experience in defending public liability claims. Whilst working, she also completed the Legal Practice Course. Rukmanie then worked as a paralegal for a claimant clinical negligence law firm before joining MDDUS in November 2012. She became a trainee solicitor in November 2015 and qualified into the legal department in July 2017.
