Medical practice adviser

John began his clinical career in general medicine and nephrology before moving into general practice. He was a Medico-legal adviser at another medical defence organisation for five years during which time he obtained a Diploma in Medical Law and Ethics, with merit, from De Montfort University. John then retired from medicine - moving back to his native Scotland to pursue his DIY and gardening hobbies, whilst acting as a director of a local charity - at which point he relinquished his GMC registration. John was pleased to join MDDUS in 2023, resuming his medico-legal career as a Medical practice adviser.
