Richard graduated from Nottingham University in 2004 and subsequently undertook his legal training in Nottingham and London. He started working in medical law in 2008 and gained MRCP in 2011, joining the MDDUS in 2013. He continues to work on a part-time basis as a coroner, having been appointed to this role in 2012.
